1. Acceptance of Terms

By creating an account or using Numetric, you confirm that you are at least 13 years old, have read and understood these Terms, and agree to be bound by them. If you are using Numetric on behalf of an institution, you represent that you have authority to bind that institution to these Terms.

2. Description of Service

Numetric is an AI-powered math tutoring platform designed to help students learn mathematics through step-by-step guidance, Socratic hints, and practice problems. The service includes:

• AI-generated step-by-step problem solutions
• Hint ladders and guided practice
• Session history and mastery tracking
• Study guides and exam preparation tools
• Course and syllabus integration

Numetric is a tutoring aid. It is not a substitute for formal instruction, and solutions generated by the AI may occasionally contain errors. You are responsible for verifying answers against your course materials.

3. User Accounts

You must create an account to access most features. You are responsible for:

• Maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials
• All activity that occurs under your account
• Notifying us immediately of any unauthorized use

You may not share your account with others or create accounts for the purpose of circumventing usage limits.

4. Acceptable Use

You agree not to use Numetric to:

• Submit content that is unlawful, harmful, or violates any third-party rights
• Attempt to reverse-engineer, scrape, or extract our AI models or proprietary data
• Interfere with or disrupt the security or integrity of our systems
• Use automated tools to abuse the service beyond normal usage
• Misrepresent AI-generated solutions as your own original work in academic contexts where prohibited by your institution's academic integrity policy

You are solely responsible for ensuring your use of Numetric complies with your institution's academic integrity policies.

5. Intellectual Property

All content, software, and technology on Numetric — including the AI tutoring system, interface design, and gold-set problem library — is owned by Numetric Academic Technologies LLC and protected by applicable intellectual property laws.

You retain ownership of the math problems and content you submit. By submitting content, you grant us a limited license to process that content for the purpose of delivering the service to you.

6. Paid Plans and Billing

Numetric offers free and paid subscription tiers. For paid plans:

• Billing is processed securely through Stripe
• Subscriptions auto-renew unless cancelled before the renewal date
• Refunds are handled on a case-by-case basis — contact us within 7 days of a charge if you believe an error occurred

We reserve the right to change pricing with 30 days notice to existing subscribers.

7. Disclaimers

Numetric is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind, express or implied. We do not warrant that:

• The service will be uninterrupted or error-free
• AI-generated solutions are always mathematically correct
• The service will meet your specific academic requirements

Always verify AI-generated solutions against your textbook or instructor before relying on them for academic work.

8. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, Numetric Academic Technologies LLC shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from your use of the service. Our total liability to you for any claim arising from these Terms or your use of Numetric shall not exceed the amount you paid us in the 12 months preceding the claim.

9. Termination

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate your account at our discretion if you violate these Terms. You may delete your account at any time from your account settings. Upon termination, your access to the service will cease and your data will be deleted in accordance with our Privacy Policy.

10. Changes to Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. We will notify you of material changes by email or by posting a notice on the platform. Continued use of Numetric after changes take effect constitutes your acceptance of the revised Terms.

11. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the United States. Any disputes arising under these Terms shall be resolved through binding arbitration in accordance with applicable law.
